Farmington River 5-14-2014
Walking along the Farmington Valley Greenway rail trail through Collinsville, Connecticut, is one of my favorite local excursions during the warmer months of the year. Stopping in the middle of the old converted railroad bridge offered a sweeping elevated view overlooking the flowing current of the Farmington River below on a clear spring day.
Framed through the circular curved steel beams and rivets of the historic railway trestle, this wide-angle fisheye perspective captures the river bending toward distant green hills. Crisp blue skies with puffy white clouds reflect across the dark moving water, bordered by dense spring forest along both riverbanks.
