Visiting Coe Memorial Park on Memorial Day morning offered a quiet, respectful moment of community remembrance. The American flag stood tall at half-staff above the central stone war memorial plaza, framed beautifully by flowering pink cherry trees in full spring bloom against an open blue Connecticut sky right in the center of town.
