Night Sky 3-8-2014
Setting up the tripod on a freezing winter night back in 2012 proved well worth the chill to catch the interplay between the moon, clouds, and stars. Running a longer exposure allowed subtle starlight to register alongside the bright lunar glow without losing the composition’s atmospheric balance.
A luminous moon shines through wispy, drifting night clouds, casting a soft ethereal halo over the silhouette of bare winter tree branches below. Scattered stars and distant constellations stand out cleanly against the deep navy-blue sky, creating a peaceful, contemplative evening desktop background that looks great on high-resolution displays.
