Lake George Fireworks 10-2-2017
Spending a crisp late-September Saturday evening on the shores of Lake George, New York provided front-row seats for their seasonal lakefront fireworks display. Standing along the docks as families finished up evening boat tours, the calm night air made for great shooting conditions without heavy wind carrying away the colorful pyrotechnic smoke.
This frame captures brilliant blue and pastel green fireworks blossoming high above the water, casting vivid light trails across the pitch-black sky. In the lower left corner, the illuminated windows of the docked tour boat Adirondac add crisp architectural lines and warm balance to the expansive nighttime composition.
