Water Droplet 6-7-2014
A quiet summer morning right after an overnight rain always offers prime conditions for macro photography around the yard. Walking slowly through the wet lawn before the morning sun could evaporate the moisture, I spotted a perfect, spherical drop resting completely balanced along the arch of a single blade of grass.
The photograph captures a crystal-clear water droplet clinging securely to the narrow green leaf as it curves gently across the frame. A smaller dew bead rests just behind it, while a creamy, out-of-focus background of lush forest greens emphasizes the pristine clarity and natural surface tension of the water.
