Yellow Orange Lily 7-3-2017

These daylilies bloom reliably in our yard every single summer, brightening up the garden border right on schedule. I headed outside on a quiet July morning when the soft ambient light was even across the flower bed. Catching them just as the blooms hit peak shape made it easy to isolate one distinct blossom from the crowd.

The photograph highlights ruffled peach and amber petals blending into a bright golden-yellow throat. Prominent central stamens and anthers stretch forward from the core, while soft natural light outlines each petal margin. Gentle green garden bokeh blurs into the background, letting the warm summer colors carry the entire scene cleanly.
