Cozumel 6-26-2015
While exploring the coastline of Cozumel on an April 2015 cruise stop, we ran into this wild, rocky stretch of exposed shoreline. The jagged coral formations were razor-sharp underfoot, warning everyone away from swimming, but the crashing surf made for an awesome photo spot. The steady sea breeze and bright Caribbean heat kept the energy high as waves rolled across the reef.
This wide-angle shot emphasizes jagged limestone outcroppings in the foreground, battered by churning white sea foam. Beyond the rocks, turquoise ocean swells break toward the shore under a massive blue sky filled with wispy, windblown cirrus and low cumulus clouds.
