Plasma Ball 4-7-2013
I set up my desktop plasma ball inside a dark room to see how the camera sensor would render the continuous motion of high-voltage electric arcs over time. By dialing in a half-second shutter exposure on a steady tripod, the dancing filaments smoothed out into vivid ribbons of glowing, energetic light across the glass sphere.
The glowing central glass core radiates intense filaments in brilliant shades of neon magenta and electric blue across the frame. That intentional motion blur creates a feathered, organic pattern of light that feels electric and futuristic, contrasting sharply against the pitch-black backdrop of the surrounding room.
