Looking west toward the New York state line on a crisp October afternoon, the autumn colors spread across the rolling Litchfield Hills as far as the eye could see.
Bright sunlight with a brilliant sunburst flares across the upper left corner of a wide blue sky filled with puffy white cumulus clouds. Golden, bronze, and amber tree canopies dominate the foreground, stretching across layered mountain ridges that gradually fade into soft purple horizons.
