People’s State Forest 7-12-2012

Stopping in the middle of a dense pine grove and looking straight up toward the sky completely changes your perspective on the forest. During a warm summer hike through Peoples State Forest, standing beneath the soaring canopy offered welcome shade and a quiet view through the treetops. Pointing the wide lens directly overhead framed the circle of crowns meeting high above the forest floor.

The wide-angle perspective captures tall pine trunks converging symmetrically from all four edges toward an open blue sky portal in the center. Bright green pine needles catch warm afternoon sunlight, contrasting sharply against deep brown bark and the vibrant azure sky above. The circular framing and natural vertical lines create a spacious, refreshing woodland wallpaper that looks striking on high-resolution displays.
