Yellow White Daffodils 5-3-2015
Walking through Laurel Ridge in Northfield, Connecticut, during the annual spring bloom is always worth the trip. The hillside fields are covered in thousands of flowers, making it a great spot to slow down and work on handheld floral compositions. I knelt down along the turf edge to find a clean angle across these fresh blooms.
The composition features clean white narcissus petals cupping bright yellow ruffled centers against soft green lawn grass. Crisp morning light defines the delicate petal textures on the front flowers while companion blooms drift into smooth, layered bokeh in the background. It delivers a cheerful, authentic slice of early New England spring.
