Belize Dock 5-8-2015

Strolling out over the open water on the marina deck brought me right past this bold, unmistakable safety sign mounted along the outer wooden railing. Even on a gorgeous sunny day with clear waters stretching toward the horizon, the direct warning delivered a blunt reminder of harbor hazards and boat traffic.

I placed the metal sign prominently in the foreground to catch the eye against the wide expanse of sunlit open sea. Sunlight glints across the moving green water and small ripples, while the clean sky and rustic wooden boardwalk boards ground the bottom of the frame with balanced contrast.
