Peanut Butter Kisses 1-18-2015
Fresh baked goods cooling on the kitchen counter always provide great opportunities for food photography. After finishing a large batch of homemade peanut butter cookies pressed with chocolate drop candies, lining them up in neat rows created an appealing repeating pattern. Working with soft indoor window lighting kept the cookie textures natural without harsh reflections on the chocolate.
The low-angle macro view focuses cleanly on the center cookies, highlighting granulated sugar granules and golden baked edges surrounding chocolate centers. Rows of cookies recede gently into a soft blur toward the background, where rich chocolate cookies provide subtle dark contrast. The warm bakery tones and structured geometric layout deliver an appetizing, comforting food desktop wallpaper for widescreen displays.
