Sorcerer Mickey 1-13-2015
Arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios early in the morning, the giant Sorcerer Mickey topiary greeting guests right outside the front entrance was impossible to pass up. Master gardeners sculpted the character straight out of Fantasia, complete with animated broomstick topiaries carrying buckets of water. The morning light broke through scattered Florida clouds just as I took the shot.
The low-angle composition shoots across lush foreground flowerbeds, leading directly up to Mickey’s outstretched arms and conical wizard hat. Towering Florida palm trees frame both sides of the lawn, while colorful park architecture peeks through behind the hedge. Vibrant greens, soft garden flowers, and blue skies with puffy white clouds create a cheerful theme park background.
