Wild Flower 11-9-2013
Elderberry blooms create massive, fragrant clusters in roadside meadows, offering endless macro possibilities when examined up close. I worked my lens right into the heart of this sprawling umbel to capture the sheer density of its tiny blossoms. Diffused natural daylight helped preserve fine highlight details across the delicate white petals and golden stamens.
The macro shot showcases a dense spray of miniature five-petaled white flowers packed with tiny yellow-tipped stamens. Subtle depth of field keeps the central blossoms tack-sharp while surrounding florets fade smoothly into soft cream and olive-green tones. The intricate floral geometry and clean, high-key palette provide a serene, finely detailed botanical desktop background.
