Exploring tidal pools along the coastline at low tide always rewards careful observation with fascinating marine life. Turning over weathered shoreline rocks revealed this tiny Asian shore crab scurrying across a bed of vibrant green sea lettuce, giving me a prime opportunity to set up a macro frame before it burrowed away.
The tight top-down macro perspective captures every minute detail across the mottled brown carapace and speckled white claws. Bright, glistening green seaweed serves as a striking high-contrast backdrop, catching direct coastal sunlight that accentuates the wet textures and delicate eyes of this small coastal crustacean on the rocks.
