Hot Air Balloons 10-27-2017
Visiting the annual Adirondack Balloon Festival in Queensbury, New York provided endless photography angles, but the evening mass ascension was easily the most memorable part of the trip. Thousands of spectators gathered along the wide grass airfield as crews steadily fired their propane burners, filling the late afternoon sky with giant colorful canopies.
The frame catches several balloons climbing into the dusk sky against a warm golden hour horizon, anchored by a bold geometric envelope rising on the right. Long shadows stretch across the runway grounds while low sunlight warms the distant tree line, giving the entire open landscape balanced contrast and clean desktop proportions.
