Ferns & Daffodils 5-19-17
Spring here in Connecticut brings a quick burst of fresh growth, and watching fiddleheads unfurl alongside blooming spring flowers always makes for great garden macro work. Walking the garden border, I noticed these tightly curled fern fronds pushing upward directly in front of open daffodils on a crisp May morning.
The shot focuses sharply on the fuzzy, coiled texture of emerging green fiddleheads standing tall in the foreground garden soil. Soft-focus white daffodils with bright yellow cups blur gently in the background, creating a clean seasonal color contrast between crisp spring greens and bright floral accents in natural garden daylight.
