Grand Central Clock 12-3-2013
Whenever I walk through Grand Central Terminal in New York City, the iconic information booth clock always catches my attention. It serves as one of the most famous meeting points in Manhattan. During this visit, I lined up my frame from the balcony stairs to align the four-faced brass timepiece directly against the massive American flag hanging in the background.
This close-up photograph centers on the ornate, four-sided brass clock of Grand Central Terminal. The detailed metal finial tops the golden structure, with the black Roman and Arabic dial showing a quarter past eleven. Behind the gleaming brass casing, the vivid red, white, and blue stripes and stars of an enormous American flag provide a striking, patriotic backdrop.
