Daffodils 4-17-2017

Finding these vibrant trumpet daffodils in late afternoon gave me the opportunity to work with rich, saturated spring color. Kneeling down alongside the raised bed allowed me to isolate the dual blooms cleanly against deeper garden shadows without cluttering the frame with unwanted mulch, fallen debris, or stray garden weeds.

Two vivid yellow blossoms dominate the composition, their ruffled trumpets pointed outward toward soft directional light. Upright green spear leaves flank the flowers, while a narrow depth of field leaves adjacent blooms blurred into rich golden patches across the background, producing a warm and cheerful floral portrait for any high-resolution display.
