Hot Air Balloons 8-29-2016
Getting right down near the ground with an ultra-wide lens puts you directly in the action during launch preparations. Several balloons were standing upright while others fired their burners to take flight. The perspective exaggeration made the massive envelopes feel like they were leaning right over my shoulder. This was taken at the 2016 Plainville Balloon Festival. Amazing weather made taking photos a breeze.
The shot captures an array of hot air balloons clustered closely on the launch field under bright morning light. Bold chevron, checkered, and solid color panels dominate the upper frame with vivid reds, golds, and blues. Active burner flames and cheering crowds along the field edge add authentic energy to your monitor.
