Goriosa Daisy 7-27-2016
I found this gloriosa daisy standing out along an open roadside field in upstate New York. The bold two-tone petal pattern immediately drew me in from several yards away, so I framed the primary blossom dead-center to let its warm radiating colors command the shot.
The composition centers on a bold Rudbeckia blossom with elongated golden-yellow petals marked by a rich mahogany red-orange halo around the deep purple center cone. A secondary bloom blurs gently into the upper right corner, while lush green meadow foliage creates smooth, complementary contrast that looks vivid and natural on high-resolution widescreen displays.
