Hot Air Balloons 9-6-2015
Attending an early morning balloon launch requires setting an alarm well before dawn, but the view never disappoints. Once the sun crept over the horizon, the flight field came alive with multiple crews releasing envelopes into the morning calm. I framed the shot to capture their scattered spread across the sky.
The composition captures six distinct hot air balloons drifting at various altitudes against a pale blue sky. A bright yellow balloon with black geometric patterns dominates the upper right, while striped and checkered balloons fill the center and lower frame. Soft morning light gives the scene a calm, expansive feel on widescreen displays.
