Roatan 9-1-2015
Looking out from an elevated vantage point over Mahogany Bay on the island of Roatan, Honduras, the sheer variety of water colors caught my eye immediately. The bright Caribbean sun illuminated the shallow coastline, making the whole island harbor feel remarkably open, peaceful, and inviting from high above the shoreline.
The wide shot shows the lush green peninsula curving gently into the ocean, dotted with small resort pavilions and palm trees along white sand beaches. Shifting water tones transition smoothly from clear pale turquoise over the coral shallows to a deep navy blue horizon under the warm afternoon tropical sky.
