Bash Bish Falls 5-10-2013
Stepping a few paces further down the icy shoreline gave a wider perspective of the mountain ravine sheltering Bash Bish Falls. Standing right by the water, the crisp mountain air and the echo of crashing water bouncing off the frozen bedrock made the cold trek out in the snow well worth it.
This composition pulls in the snow-dusted evergreen forest rising along the upper ridge against a soft canopy of winter clouds. The calm pool transitions from crystal-clear rocky shallows right into deep turquoise water, anchored by snow-covered river rocks that create a natural leading line right up to the base of the waterfall.
