Alien Cupcakes 4-16-2013
Capturing close-up shots of creative home baking projects is always an entertaining change of pace in the photography studio. These themed party cupcakes were carefully piped with bright neon lime frosting and finished with candy eyes and dark chocolate piping to recreate the beloved three-eyed aliens from the Toy Story films.
A top-down macro perspective fills the frame with the tray, keeping the center treat razor-sharp while the surrounding character faces gently blur into soft focus. The glossy highlights on the black smiles and the bright pastel green tones create a high-contrast, cheerful photo that looks lively on any desktop screen.
