Norfolk Christmas Tree 12-23-2012
Driving through small Northwest Connecticut towns during late December always brings a wonderful burst of holiday spirit. Stopping alongside the town green in Norfolk on a crisp, quiet winter evening let me frame the community Christmas tree standing brightly illuminated in the dark. The cold night air was completely still, making the vibrant holiday lights pop against the black country surroundings.
Shot through an ultra-wide fisheye lens, the massive evergreen sweeps upward toward the sky, decorated in thousands of glowing multicolored incandescent lights. Pinpoint starbursts in vibrant blue, red, green, and gold wrap around the dense pine branches, creating an energetic holiday glow. The deep black night backdrop allows the vivid colors to shine cleanly, offering a festive and cheerful seasonal desktop wallpaper.
