Walking along the coastline in early November, the beach was completely empty except for the steady sound of incoming surf. The afternoon sun sat low behind a hazy cloud deck, casting a warm golden glow across the wet sand and breaking waves. I set up right at the edge of the wash to capture the water receding across the flat sand.

Gentle white surf breaks across the shallow shoreline, with sea foam fanning out across the damp sand in the foreground. The sun glows brightly through textured gray and blue clouds, reflecting soft golden light across the ocean water and coastal rock outcrops on the right.
