Long Road 7-24-2012
Driving through the quiet backwoods on a warm summer afternoon, I pulled over and set the camera right down on the asphalt centerline. With zero traffic in sight across the rural stretch, the empty road cutting straight through the deep woods felt like an open invitation to just keep rolling forward.
Shot from a dramatic ground-level perspective with an ultra-wide fisheye lens, the dark asphalt curves broadly across the lower frame while tall deciduous trees tower overhead. Soft summer daylight filters through the thick green canopy, creating dappled shadows across the pavement and leading toward a sharp central vanishing point.
