Mason Jar Glow 8-8-2026

Several years ago, I had the privilege of photographing a backyard wedding for a friend. As dusk began to settle over the yard, the hosts lit up hanging decorations scattered among the trees. Among them was a simple, charming setup: clear mason jars suspended by twine, each holding a glowing candle resting on a bed of sand. The warm light against the evening shadows was a detail I couldn’t resist capturing.

The photo features a close-up, sharp focus on a single hanging Ball mason jar. Inside, a lit yellow candle casts a soft, warm amber glow through the textured glass, illuminating the grain of the sand at the bottom and the wrapped twine around the rim.
