Roatan Boats 1-21-2016
During a visit to Mahogany Bay in Roatan, Honduras, I spotted a fleet of local working boats moored along the calm shoreline of Mahogany Bay. Away from the crowded tourist beaches, these colorful commercial vessels added genuine maritime character and everyday working island life to the scenic tropical harbor scene.
The composition highlights several painted commercial boats docked side by side against a dense backdrop of green palm trees and hillside jungle foliage. Clean reflections ripple gently across the blue harbor water, while the bold red trim accents, white hulls, and rigged masts bring crisp industrial detail to the scenic coastal view.
