Buck Toothed Llama 8-6-2013
Stopping by a local farm pasture often results in unexpected and humorous portraits if the animals are curious enough to approach the fence. This shaggy llama strolled right over to inspect my camera, tilting its head and showing off a distinctive pair of protruding lower teeth. It stood perfectly still long enough to dial in focus on its expressive face.
The centered composition captures the animal’s thick, crimped wool in shades of cream and dark chocolate brown. Its prominent underbite and goofy smile take center stage, framed by tall upright ears and wide dark eyes. A vibrant green pasture stretches across the soft background, keeping the focus entirely on the llama’s unique, friendly personality.
