Cozumel Beach 8-17-2015
Over on the eastern side of Cozumel, the open ocean currents churn up serious waves that keep most swimmers out of the water. I set the camera right down near the wet shoreline wash to capture the surf rolling straight in. The rush of incoming tide splashing against the nearby coral ledges kept me on my toes while framing the breakers.
The ultra-low perspective fills the lower frame with foaming white whitewater and translucent sea foam rushing over pale sand. Crisp turquoise breakers crest in the middle ground, framed by porous tan coral rock on the right and puffy white tropical clouds overhead across the open horizon.
