Christmas Cookies 12-22-2013
Baking holiday treats is always one of the most festive traditions of late December in our home. After rolling out the dough and decorating a large batch of sugar cookies cut like traditional gingerbread men, I placed the foil-lined baking sheet under warm kitchen lighting to document all the colorful frosting handiwork up close.
The overhead flat-lay composition fills the frame with cheerful cookie characters decorated with black gel outlines, red cinnamon candies, green nonpareils, and white sugar snowflakes. Warm golden cookie surfaces reflect subtle kitchen light, giving this appetizing holiday scene tremendous texture, cheerful color, and inviting seasonal warmth.
