Straight Path 10-14-2013
A heavy autumn morning fog settled over the meadow trails, completely obscuring the distant tree line and hillside. I lined up right down the center of this mowed grass walking lane to make the most of the natural leading lines disappearing into the thick white mist. The complete silence of the early morning field made the walk feel entirely cut off from the surrounding town.
Symmetrical rows of young planted trees border the grassy walking path, leading the viewer past a lone stone bench toward the soft fog. Muted green turf and wild goldenrod foliage define the ground layer under quiet, diffused morning light that softens the entire landscape.
