Graffiti 5-4-2013
I explored the abandoned Barrington Fair Grounds in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, to document the decaying structures. Decades of neglect have left the buildings open to the elements and covered in street art. Inside this weathered wooden structure, local artists had tagged the vertical wall planks with stylized lettering. The quiet setting made it an interesting spot for architectural and decay photography.
This high-contrast black and white photograph highlights spray-painted graffiti sprawled across a paneled wooden wall. The dark line art features bold stylized letters and geometric forms outlined in black paint. To the far left, an open interior doorway lets natural light spill across the dusty wooden floorboards, while the overhead rafters cast subtle shadows along the top frame.
