Golden Retriever 3-2-2013
Here is another frame from that cold winter afternoon photographing a Golden Retriever running through a snowy field. Dogs move unpredictably, so getting a sharp action shot requires tracking them closely with the lens. This time, I caught the dog in mid-stride just after it picked up the ball. The cold weather didn’t seem to slow it down at all.
This close-up shot captures a Golden Retriever running actively toward the left side of the frame with a snow-covered ball clamped in its jaws. The dog’s tongue is hanging out slightly to the side, and its golden fur is visibly thick and textured. The background is a bright, completely blurred expanse of white snow, keeping the visual focus entirely on the dog.
