People’s State Forest 7-20-2012
On a warm July morning, I took a peaceful hike through People’s State Forest in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, to spend some quiet time outdoors with the camera. As the morning sun climbed above the dense tree canopy, bright golden rays began cutting directly through the tall pine grove along the trail.
Framed with an ultra-wide perspective, the towering pines stretch upward into a sharp sunburst that casts long, dramatic shadows across the needle-covered ground. The striking contrast between the dark vertical trunks, warm brown forest earth, and clear summer sky creates a timeless New England woodland atmosphere across the wide frame.
