C-130 Hercules 6-2-2017
Standing along the parade route during the 2017 Memorial Day parade in Torrington, Connecticut, the rumble of heavy turboprops signaled a low flyover before the aircraft came into view. Tracking the massive transport plane as it passed directly overhead gave me a clean window for an unobstructed, straight-up aviation capture.
The composition isolates the underside of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules against a clean, overcast sky. Crisp details highlight the four massive turboprop engines, underwing fuel tanks, landing gear bays, and dark USAF wing lettering. The strong symmetrical silhouette commands the center of the frame, creating a bold, graphic look on screen.
