Offering Candles 12-29-2012
Stepping inside a quiet sanctuary away from the winter cold brings immediate stillness and perspective. Rows of lit vigil candles casting warm, gentle glows against deep interior shadows create a contemplative environment that naturally invites you to slow down. Focusing on the quiet warmth of individual flames makes for a relaxing photography study where subtle ambient light dictates the entire mood.
Framed up close with a shallow depth of field, the foreground glass votives glow with bright amber and golden flames. Deep red glass holders and soft, out-of-focus background candles provide rich color gradation against dark surroundings. The warm falloff and natural luminescence create an intimate, soothing botanical and interior lighting display, offering an elegant and peaceful desktop wallpaper.
