Dropping down into the lawn on a bright spring afternoon gave me this low-angle perspective straight up toward the clear sky. Getting the camera lens right beneath the flower heads completely transformed the scene, allowing direct midday sunlight to filter smoothly through the delicate translucent white petals from above without creating harsh blown-out spots.
The composition frames several poet’s narcissus blooms reaching upward against a clean blue sky. Slender green foliage fills the lower portion of the frame, while crisp backlighting accentuates the central yellow cups ringed with deep red margins. The bright, high-key exposure delivers a fresh and lively outdoor atmosphere.
