Visiting the historic Gilded Age estates in Newport, Rhode Island is always a visual treat, especially when seeing Ochre Court on the Salve Regina campus grounds. Stepping back onto the expansive front lawn with a wide-angle lens let me frame the full scale and presence of this French chateau-style mansion.
Intricate limestone masonry, arched windows, and tall slate roofs stretch across the horizon beneath a bright afternoon sun with sweeping cloud wisps. The expansive curve of the manicured green lawn anchors the lower half of the frame, delivering a clean, grand perspective of classic Newport architecture under open summer skies.
